“After so many years getting used to hear it, this music accompanies me now regularly to help me find the road of sleep”

(Immersive ambient music)
I am going to get straight to the point; I don't really like ambient music. To me, most of it is meaningless and has no reliefs. Within years I learnt to tame by means of Klaus Schulze, Michael Stearns and Steve Roach music. Ambient and atmospheric music with depth, relief and emotion and in the last years I discovered Steve Roach's wonderful works (Structures from Silence, Western Spaces, Dreamtime Return as well as the Fever Dreams series).
IMMERSION: ONE is the first of a series of albums whose number remains to be determined. Immersion: Two should be released shortly. I believe it is done by the time you read these lines. Bah! We read the title, and we understand everything! Immersion: One is a long tonal river where life breathes only by our desire to access it. The music on is the equal of its title. In fact, can we call it music? I wonder a lot because here musical life is like a hiker whistling a peaceful tune on a rather chilly evening in August. We see its imprint by the mist it releases, like the waves of a synth floating like a solitary bank of mist that changes colors, intonations and variations in its floating buzzes. We must listen to Immersion: One with this desire to be immersed in the sterile waves of its author. It's the immersion of the body, the spirit and its determination in a shroud of sounds which becomes a lifeless symphony. The music is soft, linear and almost monotonous where not much is happening. It's, like my Lise would say, invisible music… There is no rhythm, no melody. Just ethereal layers of deeply relaxing music that can really guide us to relaxation, that's for sure, and even sleep. It's recommended to listen at low volume and I confess that I don't understand why. But I did it without noticing anything different between the two modes. For those who love the environment, the calm and the caresses of an unacknowledged dream. For those who love Steve Roach…
